What Can You Make with a Cricut

There is a wide variety of projects you can create with a Cricut. Depending on which machine you are using, there are 100’s of materials you can cut, emboss, foil, engrave and draw on.

Cricut project types you can create:

  • Wearables – custom t-shirts, hoodies, hats, canvas shoes and other wearables
  • Paper crafts – cards, stationery, bookmarks and art cards.

The Maker 3 is now the most expensive of the five Cricut cutting machines, so the question you may ask is, “Is the Maker 3 worth the extra money?” The answer depends on if you need to use the extra tools like the knife blade and rotary blade or not, in my opinion. Most people just cut paper and vinyl and don't need it.

Is there a lot of waste with Cricut? ›

You can go ahead and throw at least 1/2 of it away. Why? That's the amount of material that gets wasted when you cut out designs. After cutting, you have to peel away the "negative space," and there's really nothing you can do with the excess material besides throw it out.
