I made this on my Pit Boss Pro 1100, cooking low and slow on a pellet smoker is my favorite way to cook! I picked up my Pitboss at Lowes, but Walmart and Amazon carry other Pit Boss options or the Pitboss website itself. Personally, I love the cost of them vs other pellet grills, plus it hasn’t disappointed me yet.

Smoked Cream Cheese Ingredients:

Cream Cheese

Dano Seasoning– The old lady saw this on Tik Tok, and this seasoning did not disappoint. The flavor was excellent with the cream cheese.

Olive Oil– This is 100% optional it does help the seasoning stick some and keep the cream cheese a bit soft, but it is not necessary.

How To Smoke Cream Cheese On A Pit Boss

Get your smoker rolling smoke. You can make this on a pellet grill, smoker that uses wood chips, or a propane smoker. You would follow how to smoke cream cheese on a pit boss on any smoker.

Place the entire block of cream cheese on a “plate” with a piece of aluminum foil. If you had a small plate, disposable aluminum pan, cast iron skillet, or baking sheet, you could use that, I did tin foil so I would have fewer dishes to clean up.

If you use a disposable foil pan, it will be harder to get the smoke on all sides of the cream cheese if the edge of the pan is too high.

Once your smoker is rolling smoke, place your tinfoil and cream cheese on the smoker.

You can score the top of the cream cheese with a sharp knife across the top with lines. I choose not, however, if serving on a charcuterie board it will be more eye-catching with the lines, and it will stay in better shape.

How Long To Smoke Cream Cheese

Now with anything smoking food-related, it is important to know how your smoker smokes and to remember it isn’t a time thing.

I cooked my cream cheese for two Hours at 200 Degrees.

You can use any flavor of wood pellets to make this. I used Mesquite pellets this time, but any flavor would work.

Money and time-saving tips from the old lady. If you order pellets online from Walmart and spend $35, they will drop them off at your door for free!! Their everyday price on pit boss pellets is amazing, plus the expert grill brand has a great price. (see them ->here)

How To Store Smoked Cream Cheese

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to five days after smoking the cream cheese. If smoking on a plate, you can wrap it with plastic wrap to seal it to store. You can enjoy the seasoned cream cheese cold or warm; either way, it is delicious.

You can freeze cream cheese. Allow to cool before either vacuum sealing or putting it in an air-tight container in the freezer. Like cream cheese, the consistency will be different when thawed but perfect for chowders, soups, or other dips.
