Verne Fuqua will officiate. Burial: Following committal services, Marie will be laid to rest next to her husband, Winston, in the Grandview Cemetery in Grandview. Visitation: Marie will lie in state at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

Her family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Sunday. Memorials: Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of choice. A native of Cleburne, Marie Miller was born August 1 19, 1921, the daughter of Robert James and Viola Byrd Miller. She married Harvey Winston Hendricks on May 24, 1941.

Mr. Hendricks died in 1990. Marie was a longtime member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was a mechanical engineer and teacher.

Having taught at Rosemont Middle School, she retired as an administrative assistant with the Fort Worth ISD. In addition to her husband and parents, Marie was preceded in death by her brother James Miller, and sister, Bobbie Miller Jones. Kendrick in 1945, and moved to Jacksboro, where she lived for 53 years. Mickey was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Jacksboro, where she sang in the choir and served the church in many other ways.

She was a kind and loving Christian person, who was loved by all who knew her. Mickey was also a wonderful cook and gardener, and although she had no children of her own, she was a favorite of all her nieces and nephews, and she loved and cared for all children who came her way. God has gained another victory. She moved to Fort Worth in 1981 to be near family and became an active member at First Congregational Church. For the last 12 years, she lived at Broadway Plaza, and continued to travel and enjoy activities with family and friends in Fort Worth.

She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Mary Ann Engstrom, in 1974, and her husband, of 50 years, J. Ross Mainland in 1981. We have been blessed to have her here for 94 active and productive years We give her over to our Heavenly Father for eternal rest and peace, in sadness for our loss, but in joy that she no longer suffers in her earthly body.
